This course provides a survey of local and international basic education language programs and policies that account for issues and consideration relevant to the engagement of teachers in school settings. It also objectifies to provide future English language teachers with a basis in the current theories and practices of bilingual and multilingual pedagogy, research, policy, and education, hence, equipping them with the knowledge of the theoretical and practical approaches in language education as a means for innovation in language learning and teacher development.
