This course is designed to facilitate
understanding of basic concepts and properties of algebraic structures. The
topics include Groups, Subgroups, Cyclic Groups, Permutation Groups, Cosets,
Isomorphism, Normal and Factor Groups, Homomorphism, and introduction to rings.
It aims to develop symbolic thinking, enhance skills in writing proofs, and
foster appreciation for mathematical structures which are all helpful in
dealing with higher mathematics.
