This course extends the topics of the Information Management (DBMS1) course and introduces new knowledge like data mining and data warehousing. It explores advanced database and associated technologies, the management of database systems, the data modeling options, facilitating the storage and use of data.

This 3-unit professional course aims to develop the skills and competency of the learners towards the analysis and design of an information system or a business project. This includes problem definition, requirement analysis, user case analysis, design diagrams and presentation of a Capstone Project Proposal. This course integrates key concepts involving flowcharting and algorithm development, programming, databases, OS and networks, and quantitative methods.
